Overview
You have plenty of safari time to enjoy the excitement of Kenya’s wildlife and the variety of its mixed landscapes in this active 6-days adventure.
See all the Big 5 safari animals – lions, leopards, buffalos, rhino and elephant, plus rare species like the Somali ostrich, gerenuk and oryx. Icing it off you will enjoy a fantastic collection of birdlife including pelicans and flamingos.
If you wish you can meet the African people such as the Maasai tribes, we can organize trips to their villages to learn about their lives and culture.
Starting off, you’ll travel over the central highlands, then on to Samburu National Reserve. This sun-covered park offers a wonderful mixture of unusual game like the reticulated giraffe and Grevy’s zebra. Plus, lots of opportunities to view more commonly known wildlife like leopard, cheetah, lion and buffalo.
Moving on there’s an optional stop to take in the drama of 74 m high Thompson falls at Nyahururu.
We then proceed to one of the most attractive Kenyan parks, Lake Nakuru Park. Explore the great rocky escarpments that tower over acacia forest, waterfalls, wooded hills and euphorbia trees dot the lake. But that’s only the beginning of what this special park has to offer because the wildlife viewing here is easy and accessible. Lake Nakuru is known for hosting some endangered species. You’re sure to see rare Rothschild’s Giraffe along with white rhino, leopard, tree-climbing lions among other wildlife.
Lake Nakuru Park is also sanctuary to one of Kenya’s largest populations of black rhino. So, get your camera ready!
Next, your 6-day safari tour brings you up close to the richest park in the world – the Masai Mara. You’ve heard of it, and now it’s your turn to see the Mara up close. Here, you’ll enjoy plenty of large and small wildlife. You’ll visit the Mara River – watch the many hippos and crocodiles. And during the migration season (July – October) you’ll be treated to the unforgettable sight of thousands upon thousands of wildebeests and zebra making their way across the river.
As a special finale to your safari there will be an opportunity to visit with and learn about the Maasai people with an optional visit to their village.

Expand allCollapse all1: Nairobi - Samburu National Reserve
0730 am. Early morning pick-up transfer from your Nairobi hotel/ Nairobi airport will see us embark on our journey to Samburu National Reserve.
View the Mount Kenya with its snow – capped peaks along the safari route.
We aim to be at the camp by afternoon hours where we’ll have an opportunity to settle in and get ready for the scheduled afternoon safari experience at Samburu, Shaba and buffalo springs reserves.
Return to your Samburu safari lodge/tented safari camp for dinner and overnight stay.
2: Full Days - Samburu National Reserve
The day shall be spent with game viewing drives or relaxing at the Samburu game reserve.
Game viewing drives in this dry and scenic game reserve with concentrated wildlife found along the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River.
Once again there’s plenty to see here. The focus during our early mornings and evening will be predators. Samburu is a wilderness unto itself, encounter unique northern species such as Grevy's zebra and Gerenuk antelope and unique optional safari activities to spice up your Kenya safari trip such as village visit to the Samburu boma.
These eye-catching activity will keep you occupied during your stay here. Home to plenty of the rare and famous species, the reserve allows for wonderful big cats and herds photography. We’ll be on the look for other interesting sightings and shortly after sunset we will return to camp where dinner awaits in a spectacular setting.

3: Samburu – Lake Nakuru
Eat up an early morning breakfast followed by an early morning game and scenery viewing drive as you exit the Samburu Game Reserve.
There shall be a an optional stop to view the Thompson falls at Nyahururu.
Proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park, a birdlife heaven, at the floor of the Great Rift Valley. Due to some progressive natural factors like increasing water levels, the flamingo numbers have been reducing but the park itself remains stunning – one of Kenya’s finest. Great rocky escarpments tower over acacia forest, waterfalls, wooded hills and euphorbia trees dot the lake.
The few quantity of flamingos is accompanied by other birdlife – pelicans, cormorants, kingfishers, ostriches, storks as well as herons and eagles. The scene here is bountiful, busy and full of color.
But that’s only the beginning of what this special park has to offer because the wildlife viewing here is easy and accessible. Lake Nakuru is known for hosting some endangered but beautiful species. You’re sure to see rare Rothschild’s Giraffe along with white rhino, especially along the lakeshore.
We’ll spend the night here and then rise for an early morning game drive and bird watching. Dinner and overnight at your tented safari camp/ Kenya safari lodge/ safari hotel.
4 : Lake Nakuru - Masai Mara
Today we shall arise to an extensive early morning game viewing drives at Lake Nakuru before we exit the park.
Lake Nakuru is known for its robust birdlife so let’s rise early to enjoy the morning birdsong and the wildlife emerging from the night.
We’ll have breakfast and depart for the Masai Mara Game Reserve, with stops at scenic spots along the way.
We’ll get to the Masai Mara in time for our first game drive over its rolling hills, with charming acacia trees adorning the landscape.
While at the Mara, we’ll have plenty of time to track its seemingly endless array of Kenya wildlife – keep an eye out for lion as sightings are not uncommon. Expect an authentic African safari tour experience with hospitality and fine dining as well as incomparable wildlife safari encounters within the Mara’s habitat. Return for dinner and overnight at your Masai Mara tented safari camp/ safari lodge.
5 : Full Day - Masai Mara
Today shall be a full day game viewing wildlife safari!
Masai Mara Game Reserve remains the most exciting African wildlife eco-system in the whole world, providing guest with an excellent all year round wildlife sightings. It’s also considered on the best African photographic safari destinations.
It is host to the highest and most varied concentration of wild animals than any other wildlife park in the region. The scenic appeal of the tree studded savannah plains, the moderate climate and diversity of wild game species makes it a one stop shop for game viewing activities.
We shall spend our precious time foraging the Masai Mara reserve on a full day of unlimited game viewing encountering the African big five and more of the lesser Kenya safari animals.
We shall visit the Mara river where we may watch hippos & crocodiles or maybe the Masai Mara wildebeest migration during the (July – October) season.
Overnight shall be at our Masai Mara safari lodge/ tented safari camp.
6 : Masai Mara – Nairobi
Wrapping up your Kenya wildlife safari today is a leisurely morning breakfast at your Masai Mara tented safari camp/ safari lodge, afterward you have an option to visit the Masai village before starting your journey back to Nairobi.
Your dedicated expert driver guide will assist you with the checkout process and proceed to Nairobi with stops along the way. We’ll depart Masai Mara with a hot lunch stop along the way, arriving in Nairobi during late afternoon hours (approximately 15:00Hrs, typically 3:00 Pm) and bring you to your Nairobi hotel, or the Nairobi airport.
Drop off at your Nairobi City hotel /Nairobi airport signals the end of your safari trip in Kenya.
