This Kenya discovery safari packs so much into 4 days Masai Mara wildlife safari & Lake Nakuru Park – discover the endangered rhinos and rare giraffes, colorful birdlife, and the big cats of the Masai Mara Game Reserve. Your tour starts at the Masai Mara park, an eco-system blessed with a good concentration of big cats in the region. All of Africa’s “Big Five” wildlife roam these savannahs plus thousands of wildebeests, zebra, and some 95 other mammals and wildlife.

We’ll wrap up this 4-day safari holiday at Lake Nakuru Park; a waterscape of pelicans, cormorants, and kingfishers. But this attractive national park will also come with opportunities to spot leopards, rhinos, giraffe, monkeys, and even cheetah and tree - climbing lions.

Still at Lake Nakuru, you will be impressed with the acacia forests, as you cross by waterfalls and shorelines painted with innumerable birds, vast rolling hills, and deep golden savannahs. Afterwards this brings an end to this exciting 4-Days Masai Mara wildlife safari & Lake Nakuru.

1: Nairobi - Masai Mara Game Reserve

We’ll begin our adventure with a pick up from your Nairobi hotel/ Nairobi airport at around 0730hrs.

Proceed to the Masai Mara game reserve -Kenya’s and Africa’s finest wildlife reserve.

The drive to the Mara is via the edge of the Great Rift Valley (we’ll make stops) as you proceed with a hot lunch enroute at one of the Kenya safari hotels.

During the afternoon, explore the Masai Mara on your first game viewing drive of safari.

Dinner and overnight to be spent at your Masai Mara tented camp/ safari lodge.

2: Full Day - Masai Mara

On this very day we will start off early in the morning with plenty of time for game drives today. This reserve is vast but supports an intense concentration of wildlife. You’re sure to see plenty of predators and grazers playing out their life cycles on a great savannah dotted with distinctive acacia trees.

If you should be at the park during the time of the Kenya great migration (July – October) prepare to take in the greatest display of advancing animals – wildebeests and zebra – on the planet. The wildlife arrives in its yearly cycle, and their numbers are breathtaking.

Being one of our top Kenya safari destination, we’ll visit the Mara River at the point of this crossing, where crocodiles usually await and immense hippos forage. And, we’ll be tracking other wildlife over the immense plains of the park – lion, leopard, buffalo, cheetah, rhino and gazelle.

Return to your tented safari camp/Masai Mara safari lodge for dinner and overnight.

3: Masai Mara - Lake Nakuru Park

Today after breakfast concludes our stay in the Mara. Adding more richness and memories to your African safari adventure, you can pay a visit to one of the local Masai villages. There, you’ll meet the Masai tribe and see their lifestyle, handicrafts, & interact with their culture on a up close experience before making our way to Lake Nakuru National Park.

With our picnic lunch enroute, we will drive to Lake Nakuru, but on the way, we’ll make stops to eat, stretch our legs and admire some of the more scenic spots we come upon.

During the afternoon hours we can arrange for an exciting optional boat ride safari adventure at the nearby Lake Naivasha and explore this beautiful lake to view the playful hippos, plenty of eye-catching bird life scenery and other wildlife game at the Lakes shore before returning for dinner and overnight at our Lake Nakuru safari lodge/ hotel.

We’ll spend the night here and then rise for an early morning game drive and bird watching.

4 : Masai Mara – Nairobi

Today your Kenya safari holiday picks up pace with an early morning relaxed breakfast at your tented safari camp/ safari lodge/hotel and set off for our morning game drive.

There’s plenty of flamingos accompanied by other birdlife – pelicans, cormorants, kingfishers, ostriches, storks as well as herons and eagles. The scene here is bountiful, busy and full of color.

But that’s only the beginning of what this special park has to offer because the wildlife viewing here is easy and accessible. Lake Nakuru is known for hosting some endangered but beautiful species, tree climbing lions, hyenas, leopards and buffaloes among others. You’re sure to see rare Rothschild’s Giraffe along with white rhino, especially along the lakeshore.

You’ll also find the Rothschild’s giraffe nibbling amongst the treetops plus many rhinos. The rhino sanctuary here holds one of Kenya’s largest herd of endangered black and white rhinos. We’ll spend the night here and then rise for an early morning game drive and bird watching.

Leave for Nairobi City after lunch. Arriving Nairobi late in the afternoon hours (approximately 0400 pm). A short transfer to your Nairobi hotel/ JKIA Nairobi airport signals the end of your safari vacation in Africa.
