What to expect on a day trip to Amboseli National Park.
Enjoy our full-day guided one day tours in Kenya’s iconic Amboseli National Park, famous for its dramatic views of Mount Kilimanjaro and the immense herds of big-tusked elephant families marching against the backdrop of Africa’s highest mountain, Mt Kilimanjaro with sightings of big cats (lions, and sometimes cheetahs).
Set off in the early morning, accompanied by your expert guide, and spend the entire day in search of exceptional wildlife sightings, stopping only to enjoy a picnic lunch.
It’s a beautiful park with lots of wildlife, including flamingos and an easy-to-find hyena dens, buffalo, wildebeest, plains zebra and gazelle are all very common. Amboseli is also an ideal location for a host of birds and keen birdwatchers can observe more than 400 species during their trip.
The landscapes in this photographer’s paradise include a large stretch of lush swamps, which attract a number of unusual wildlife species.

Nairobi – Amboseli National Park: (250 km: 4 hrs drive)
0500Am: Pick up from your Nairobi area Hotel/ Nairobi airport /Nairobi area Residence
Depart for the Amboseli National Park via the Nairobi – Mombasa highway.
We shall catch the African sunrise as we proceed towards Amboseli.
The early morning drive is via African savanna country dotted with local homesteads and proud colorful Masai herdsmen grazing their cattle.
The driver guide will get your picnic lunch box and head for the safari arriving at Amboseli National Park by 9 am for game drives until 3 pm and returning back to Nairobi at your hotel by 7 pm.
On arrival at the Amboseli Park, you shall proceed for a morning game viewing drive in search of Elephant, Giraffe, Zebra, Lion, Cheetah, Warthog, Ostrich and more…
There shall be a stop-over at the Kibo Safari Camp for a buffet breakfast.
The Mount Kilimanjaro dominates the skyline and surrounding country.
It is the tallest mountain in Africa and the highest free standing mountain in the world.
While Mount Kilimanjaro remains in the background we shall marvel at the wildlife and scenery found in this park.
You shall also stop at the observation hill to view the sprawling breath of Amboseli.
Enjoy buffet lunch at Amboseli Serena lodge.
A short early afternoon game viewing drive as we exit the park.
Later we shall depart for Nairobi to arrive during the early evening.
Drop off at your Nairobi hotel / Nairobi Airport.
Safari tour finish between 6.30PM -7.30PM.
