You will be taken to the best places for walks, swims and picnics. Experience our daily sunset trip which begin from 3.00 pm to just after dark and you end by watching the sun set over the water with a nice drink and snack, and then paddle home just before dark.Â
Watamu Kayaking Excursions
All ages can go Kayaking at Watamu, and the tour does not require any fitness levels. All you need to bring with you is confidence to navigate the waters. The trip lasts about 3 – 3 1/2 hours depending on the tides, the winds and the trip you want. Being one of the top things to do in Watamu, paddlers with experience can choose a more challenging trip. Starting and Drop-off at Mida Creek. On arrival you’ll be greeted by a specialized guide who will direct you to the canoe. Get comfortable and be ready to set sail in the calm waters of Mida Creek as you take in the beauty that surrounds you.
This Kayaking tour is done with an emphasis on safety, whereby briefing is done for the Kayak trip, paddles, life jackets and guiding from our great local guides is offered.
We shall be exploring the smaller channels of Mida Kreek and walks and swims in our favourite places. Watch this world come alive as the sky start to change color. You may even like to try steering the canoe in the local way with a large stick – balance is required!
In addition, you will enjoy bird watching, notice the birds come alive, flocks of birds fly over you, as some individuals look for fish prey, others building nests and looking after the young.
Experience magical mangrove walks, surrounded by roots and nature. Steer through the narrow lanes as the guide shares knowledge about this area with you. Feel free to ask any questions and take pictures.
Enjoy views of the sunset, at the right time of month – moonrise and Kayak under the full moon.
We shall take a break for a picnic or swim. Enjoy drinks and snacks, then transport back to your hotel.
