Overview
Our flight journey begins in Nairobi and ends back in Nairobi – we’ll pick you up from the International Airport or your hotel, and transfer to the nearby Wilson Airport where you will catch your morning flight.
If your safari vacation days are limited or you just want to enjoy the experience of a Kenya air safari, this is the most relaxed and suitable way to begin your safari holiday. You’ll be saving 6 or more hours of driving overland by booking our easy safari flight package to Samburu National Reserve. We’ll take care of all, ensuring you have a great safari experience.
Samburu is the most popular park in northern Kenya because it boasts so much diverse and rare wildlife. The landscape here is cut by the Ewaso Nyiro River which attracts a very rich population of thirsty animals to its river banks.
You’ll start your 3-days adventure at Nairobi’s Wilson airport, where we’ll enjoy a short and easy flight to Samburu Park. There, you’ll be welcomed and hosted by your dedicated Vulture African Safaris driver / guide in private 4 x 4 safari Land Cruiser. After settling into the lodge or tented camp of your choice, get ready for the first exciting game drives of your safari.
Samburu is known for its colorful array of unusual game such as gerenuk, oryx, Grevy’s zebra, dik-dik and reticulated giraffe. But there’s also plenty of big cats here such as lion, cheetah and leopard. We’ll be on the lookout for those as well as other large mammals like Cape buffalo, hippo and elephant.
Samburu (a popular birding destination in Kenya) also features hundreds of bird species – eagles, guineafowl, starlings, hornbills and, yes, vultures! Our 3 days Samburu air safari will include visits to the nearby Shaba and Buffalo Springs reserves. These areas are a bit more lush than Samburu and offer sightings of aardvark, fox, jackal, hyena and Somali ostrich. Also, be on the lookout for hippo and crocodile along the river.
