Itinerary
Expand allCollapse all1: Nairobi – Tsavo East National Park
0730 am. Get picked up at your Nairobi hotel/ airport where we’ll start off our African safari tour with a journey to Tsavo East National Park. We’ll spend our first day at Tsavo East on game drives, exploring great stretches of grassland and savannah while on the lookout for both large and small Kenya safari animals – the predators and grazers. The big predators are here but so are other delightful species like gerenuk, impala and Masai giraffe.
The park’s setting makes game spotting easier plus the hundreds of species of birdlife all about are a bright mix of color and variety. Look for the crowned crane, lovebird and sacred ibis.
Another epic view of this park is the red-dust elephants. The soil here is composed of a reddish iron oxide in which the elephants like to roll, giving themselves an eye-catching coat of red that you can’t miss.
2: Tsavo East - Amboseli
Its day 2 and our Kenya safari package is about to get more interesting. We like to arise early while on safari for the beauty of the dawning day and to watch nature come alive, as the wildlife emerges.
After this early morning game drive, we’ll enjoy a safari breakfast at our Tsavo East accommodation, then one last game drive at Tsavo East before we depart for the magnificent Mount Kilimanjaro and Amboseli National Park.
You’ll be able to trace and watch the marching of a wonderful collection of free-ranging families of elephants that fill the park.
But also look for the park’s smaller residents like foxes, monkeys, and baboons. And at its marshes and lakes, you’ll see a delightful assortment of birdlife like pelicans, kingfishers, egrets, and herons.
Come evening the cloud cover sometimes obscuring Kilimanjaro’s snow-capped summit burns off, revealing one of Africa’s most epic sightings.
3: Amboseli - Nairobi
Our day today involves an early morning game drive to witness Amboseli’s dawning wildlife. The early morning views of Mt. Kilimanjaro can also be breathtaking (weather permitting).
We’ll enjoy breakfast before looking for those species we haven’t yet spotted and add them to our list as we complete our safari.
We’ll break for lunch and then journey back to Nairobi City. We should arrive in the late afternoon around 16:30 hrs. (4:30 pm) where a drop-off to your Nairobi hotel or JKIA airport ends our African safari vacation.
