Overview

Enjoy this amazing safari taking you deep into Kenya’s diverse landscapes and variety of wildlife. You’ll experience the rugged terrain of Tsavo West, views of celebrated Mt. Kilimanjaro, the Rift Valley Lakes of Naivasha and the all-of the beautiful savannah of the great Masai Mara.

Several of the parks including the Masai Mara, feature Africa’s Big Five and you’ll be surrounded by the incredible bird life at Lake Naivasha. A visit to Amboseli Park will bring you close to the best elephant sightings anywhere. So, put on your camera ready and enjoy the drive as we take you on a personalized adventure holiday.

We’ll start off with Tsavo West Park. Step into a rich variety of landscapes – from rocky peaks to rolling plains to verdant springs. There are lions and other big game here, but first we’ll start off early, stopping at Mzima Springs. Here you’ll enjoy your first Africa sunrise welcoming in a new day in this cradle of nature. Hippo, crocodile, exotic fish and great varieties of birds are all on colourful display.

We’ll take a short drive to our next destination - Amboseli National Park. There are more opportunities to view elephants here than probably anywhere else on the continent. You’ll delight in seeing elephant families lumbering to their watering holes, the adults protective of their young offspring. The park is also an excellent spot for viewing the snowy summit of famous Mt. Kilimanjaro.

We’ll travel on to the Rift Valley Lakes, arriving at Lake Naivasha in time for an afternoon boat safari across this scenic location. You’ll see hippo, plus small game on the shore and exotic birds everywhere. This will be followed by a walking safari at nearby Crescent Island. On this private island sanctuary, you’ll stroll by giraffe, zebra, waterbuck, impala and gaze at still more birdlife.

The next morning, take your first bicycle safari! We’ll trek over to Hell’s Gate National Park, and bicycle through this small reserve past antelope, giraffe and zebra.

Then, we move on to the rolling grasslands of the Masai Mara. The Mara boasts the richest environment of the region and you’ll find all manner of wildlife grazing, hunting and thundering across its plain. Here are the countless wildebeest and zebra of the Great Migration. You’ll also be looking for the Big Five – there are plenty of lion stalking through these tall grasses. And down at the Mara River, hippo and crocodile peek out from the water’s surface, looking for prey in their natural habitat – just the perfect ending to your Kenya 6-day safari.
