Itinerary
Expand allCollapse all1: Nairobi – Ol Pejeta Conservancy
We will depart at 0730 am. Pick up from your Nairobi hotel/ Nairobi airport and begin our wildlife safari tour across the eye-catching landscapes to Ol Pejeta, approximately 4 hours away. Â
We’ll be traveling through Laikipia toward the Aberdares & Mount Kenya area, passing numerous farms along the way.Â
Upon arrival, we shall check in, enjoy lunch and relax in the comfort of your tented camp. In the mid-afternoon, set off for a game drive to explore this wildlife-rich reserve, home to Kenya’s largest population of black rhino as well as the rest of the Big 5 species and plenty of unusual wildlife, too, including eland and Grevy’s zebra.Â
Overnight at your Ol Pejeta safari lodge or tented safari camp.Â
2: Full Day - Ol Pejeta Conservancy
This will be a full day of game viewing drives. Unforgettable experiences await you here: tracking rhinos with expert guides, riding horses alongside rare species like Grevy's zebra and Jackson's hartebeest and encountering the Big Five on game drives.Â
Enjoy morning and afternoon guided safaris with our knowledgeable safari guides. Game drives allow you to cover good distances in search of the resident wildlife, perhaps counting how many rhinos you can see in a drive. Â
A visit to the Chimpanzee Sanctuary is included, additionally you will also visit the endangered rhino species enclosure, where the last two remaining northern white rhino on Earth are found (at an additional cost), learn about the work being done to save this species.Â
Return to the camp/lodge for dinner and overnight at your Ol Pejeta safari lodge/ tented safari camp.Â
3: Full Day - Ol Pejeta
This will be our last full day of game viewing drives. There are six resident prides of lions at Ol Pejeta and many of our guests are lucky to spot them. Also, unique here, packs of African wild dogs if lucky you will see them.
You’ll also find giraffe, impala, gazelle, zebra, hippo, monkey, and baboon throughout the sanctuary.
But of special note, Ol Pejeta hosts and harbors a uniquely large population of black rhinos in a specially protected game corridor.
You can also decide to add a night game drive on your list of to do things at Ol Pejeta.
Return to the camp/lodge for dinner and overnight at your Ol Pejeta safari lodge/ tented safari camp.
4: Ol Pejeta – Masai Mara Game Reserve
After a final morning soaking in the views of Ol Pejeta from your camp, we shall have breakfast then take off on our 4x4 vehicle to the iconic Masai Mara, where the next three nights will be spent enjoying some of Africa's most classic safari scenes. Â
Upon arrival at the heart of this world-famous safari park. We shall settle into your camp and enjoy lunch and time to relax. Â
All the big cats are here in Mara, and this is also home to leopards. There are also elephants and a huge variety of other animals. After lunch and afternoon tea you will have a game drive with an optional sundowner at a scenic spot, before heading back to camp.Â

5: Masai Mara – Full Day
Awake to the natural sounds of the Mara’s birdlife. Leave camp soon after dawn to explore the reserve on the lookout for elephants, buffalo, giraffe, plains game and the big cats. Â
We shall navigate the Masai Mara reserve on a full day of unlimited game viewing  encountering the African big five and more of the lesser game.Â
We shall visit the Mara River where we may watch hippos & crocodiles or maybe if you visit during the Kenya great migration season (July – October).Â
Dinner and overnight at your Mara safari lodge / tented safari camp.Â
6: Masai Mara – Full Day
Game drives take place in the early to mid-morning and in the mid- to late-afternoon, when wildlife is most active, offering the best sightings. The grassy plains are home to a wide range of species, from prides of lion to cheetah stalking their prey and hippo wallowing in muddy pools. There is never a dull moment in the Masai Mara. During the heat of the day we shall find a spot for lunch before we carry on with our afternoon drive. Â
Take to the skies on a hot-air balloon safari and marvel at the sweeping vistas of the landscape as you float above the wildlife below.Â

7: Masai Mara – Nairobi
Wrapping up your African safari tour today is a leisurely morning breakfast at your Masai Mara camp, afterwards you have an optional cultural visits to Maasai village for an insight into the traditions of this iconic community before starting your journey back to Nairobi.
Your dedicated expert driver guide will assist you with the checkout process and proceed to Nairobi with stops along the way. We’ll depart Masai Mara arriving in Nairobi City during late afternoon hours (approximately 15:00Hrs, typically 3:00 Pm) and bring you to your Nairobi hotel, or the Nairobi airport.
Drop off at your Nairobi City hotel /Nairobi airport signaling the end of our Africa safari trip.
